With special excitement and enthusiasm, we are pleased to invite you to present your work at the 4thQilu International Young Nursing Scholars Forum, May 29-31, 2020, Jinan, Shandong Province, China. We will cover travel cost for accepted speakers.
The Qilu International Young Nursing Scholars Forum (QIYNSF) is the annual event held by the School of Nursing Shandong University (SDU Nursing). QIYNSF provides a platform for early career nursing scholars from different institutions worldwide to share research, promote collaboration, and foster professional development. It also provides attendees ample opportunities to learn about recent advances in the field and share their work and ideas with others who are committed to the advancement of nursing. In the past three forums, more than 50 nursing PhD students, post doctorate fellows, and early career faculty who were educated or working in the USA, Canada, England, Australia, and China presented their research to more than 1000 attendees from the country.
I. Call for Abstracts for Oral Presentations:
Presentations that demonstrate state of the science nursing research, education, and evidence-based practice projects or papers are invited.
Speakers are required to have education background in nursing or related disciplines, and receive doctorate degrees in the most recent 5 years or be receiving doctorate degrees by the end of year 2020.Topics on all aspects of nursing research are of interest, whereas those on nursing education, mental health, aging and geriatric nursing, chronic disease management, and translational research are preferred.
Oral presentations will feature completed research, education, evidenced-based practice projects or papers related to nursing. Speakers will be grouped in sessions by topic areas and will present at their assigned session using PowerPoint slides. The oral presentation length will be 35 minutes, which includes time for questions and discussion.
- Abstracts and applicant’s information must be submitted in English or Chinese by filling in the attached application form and send it to Ms. Jingju Guo at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Abstracts must include: Background and Purpose, Model / Framework, if used, Methods, Results, Conclusions and Implications.
- Word limit: Abstract in English should have at least 250 words and there is no maximum limit. Abstract in Chinese should have word count between 500 and 800.
- Abstracts will be blind reviewed and evaluated for their scientific merit and their relevance to nursing research, education, and practice.
Due dates and notification:
- Abstract submissions will be accepted until Sunday, March 15, 2020.
- Notification of the Organization Committee's decision to accept or decline your abstract will be sent to you no later than Friday, March 27, 2020.
SDU Nursing will provide the following for accepted speakers.
- Round-trip international economy-class flight airfare (up to 10,000 Chinese Yuan, invoice/receipt and boarding passes are required for reimbursement);
- Free registration;
- Free meals and accommodation from May 29 to May 31 in Jinan; and
- A fix amount of stipend to support domestic transportation and other expenses in Mainland China.
